Position Summary



Reporting directly to the District Sales Manager, Ontario, the Sales Coordinator, Eastern Canada, will be the organizational core of the Sales Team. Incumbent will ensure efficiencies, collaboration, implementation of sales tools, deployment of marketing material, gatekeeper of pricing, and the planning of sales meetings/customer events.
The Sales Coordinator provides inside sales support to the district sales team and conducts analysis on business factors that can help drive decision-making and strategy development for the district.
In addition, they help coordinate Sales tasks and objectives with all other Cement functions (manufacturing, logistics, quality team, Quebec team, and senior mgmt. team etc.)


Responsibilites

Safety:



Ensures all aspects of the role are executed in a safe manner by adhering to all safety guidelines and policies.
Supports sales in coordinating Customer Safety events, or internal Safety events.


Sales Administration:



Administers a pro-active pricing process, ensuring accurate pricing and invoicing.
Sets up Systematic Pricing in the ERP (Quote/QV set-up, price lists/item pricing).
Helps CVC & ABS identify root causes for Sales Order exceptions, and coordinates with those responsible to correct the origin of the error and/or adjusts the quote/project to allow the removal of Sales Order holds.
Customer communications (i.e. Annual price letters, new customer welcome, holiday greetings, etc.).


Sales Forecasting/Marketing Support:



Support the District Sales Manager with preparation of the annual budget and monthly reporting.
Tracks and interprets market indicators (ie. Construction starts, building permits, housing starts).
Generate and distribute monthly sales and market share reports.
Establishes a yearly SG&A budget by Sales Manager.
Work jointly with the District Sales Manager and Business Unit Sales and Marketing team on district studies that could include pricing, market share, profitability, etc.


Sales Support:



The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for cohesive communication across the sales team.
House all the provincial sales data and make sure it is accessible to the sales team members.
Ensure all relevant marketing material is created, printed and shipped within a timely manner.
Manage the teams group calendar for conference calls, co-travel dates and meetings.
Receive in bound leads, add to project tracker and delegate to the appropriate team member.
Work closely with sales team to monitor volume forecasting.
Coordinate competitive intelligence from the field sales team.
Manages the customer rebate system on a quarterly basis


Cross Functional Support:



Liaison between sales and all cross functional departments and a single point of contact representing the sales department to coordinate resources, information, and problem solve when applicable.
Help coordinate logistics for events, tradeshows and sponsor ship programs.
Coordinate and plan customer events, promotions and presentations.
Is responsible for organizing large events for the entire Product Line across province, and across the various Functional Groups


Relationships with Others’ Jobs:



Works closely with District Sales Representatives, Logistics, and Technical team providing assistance with systems and analysis of their costs and movements along with delivering a consistent message to our customers.
Works closely with the CVC Manager to identify potential improvement to the loading and delivery process.
Works closely with the Finance Team in providing standard reporting on a monthly basis as well as during the budget and planning processes.
Works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Freight Analysts to ensure alignment and avoid duplicating tasks while maintaining a common platform of up-to-date data ensuring accuracy.
Works closely with the Quebec District Sales Coordinator for support and backup as needed.
Provides support to the senior team with analysis, presentations, and planning.


Qualification Profile

Education and Work Experience:



Relevant college diploma
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience


Knowledge and Skills:



Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point & SAP
Strong Analytical Skills
Excellent Organization skills/ attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills/ works effectively in teams
Ability to work well in a customer-facing role.
