Personal summary

I am a freelance pattern maker with experience working as a Pattern Technologist for MAS Sri Lanka under the Victoria’s Secret account for nearly 5 years. I have a BSc in Textile Technology (Applied Science) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology as well as a Diploma in Clothing Technology & Management from Brandix College of Clothing Technology, Sri Lanka. My experience working in the apparel industry as well as my attention to detail drive me to produce detail-oriented patterns and careful documentation of my work. My work at MAS Sri Lanka involved taking designs sketched by fashion designers and constructing the patterns from scratch primarily using Gerber. This included pattern grading, setting seam allowances according to the suggested construction, risk analysis and product feasibility. The finished samples were then fit on live models and necessary adjustments made; at times these fits were carried out in New York and involved communication directly with the customer on necessary adjustments. Once the patterns were finalized and approved by the customer, the pattern would be released for bulk production along with the necessary tech pack documents. I am also familiar with other pattern making tools such as Lectra and Tuka as well as received training on 3D fitting on live models using CLO. Education: College/University in Other
