Throughout my 15+ years’ career, I have established a reputation as an astute health & safety professional who is driven by challenges, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. My expertise encompasses strategies and providing leadership in the development and implementation of safety focused procedures and systems, designed to prevent hazards. Result oriented and self-motivated with good organizational skill to support the creation and maintenance of a fundamental culture of safety. As a holder of international general certificate in occupational safety and health (NEBOSH), an associate member of the institution of fire engineers (I.F.E), and a certificate in occupational health, safety and environmental services. My designation as a Canadian registered safety professional is in process. I maintain occupational health and safety prevention initiatives and human resources policy implementation and guidance. In my most recent role as a Safety Advisor with Cherubini Metal Work Ltd, I continually found great success in managing complex projects from inception through delivery, analyzing, mitigating risk and improving processes to ensure optimal operational success. I am a front-line resource for employees and departmental managers’ who identify risks in their work environment. I manage and facilitate the process of change and transition while helping others deal with their effects. I Ensure adherence to regulated and documented safety standards, including conducting monthly inspections, hazard analysis, and periodic audits as well as identifying and assigning corrective actions for workplace hazards noted during property inspections. I have a diverse and extensive range of professional experience with progressive responsibilities documented through success at various organizational levels.
