Personal summary

Currently, I am a master student from University of Toronto majoring in computer science and supposed to graduate in May 2020. I consider myself qualified for the position. First of all, I have a strong background of machine learning, especially in NLP. I have published a paper named "Incorporating dictionary-based word representation into neural network for sequence tagging" in ICCD conference in 2017. During my work in JD.com, we managed to use seq-to-seq model to generate thousands of advertisements for SKUs in tensorflow. In the same time, I designed a CTR prediction model which make our advertisements CRT grow more than 30%. During my internship in IBM, I applied XGboost model and neural network to optimize db2 in IBM and the performance is quite satisfactory. Furthermore, I am also experienced in full stack development. I am familiar with Bootstrap + JQuery in front end and Flask(python framework) in backend. I once developed a website, which could make reservations for haircut and even provide different hairstyles tryouts with machine learning model. The project was spoken highly and A+ was given. Last but not least, I also know database (mysql, redis) and distributed system(hadoop, hive) quite well. When I work in JD.com, the data were stored in hive and we need to use hadoop tools to analyze the data in parallel from time to time. Education: Masters in Computer Sciences
