Personal summary

I bring with me 6 years of experience in Market Research and 3 years of experience in freelance writing (contents, blogs, articles, etc.) as well as copyediting, proofreading, and conducting research on different subjects. I hold a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Bangalore University, India (Canadian Educational Credential Assessment equivalent to Bachelor's degree 4 years + Postgraduate diploma 1 year). I have also been able to achieve a CLB level 9 in IELTS. Exceptional written and verbal English skills with strong grammar are my forte. I have also been able to learn basic French. I have always been an avid reader. Right from my childhood, new words excite me, and I make it a point to find their meanings immediately. With time, this habit converged beautifully with my ability to interlace words into stories that were pictures of my imaginative mind. And, that is how I decided that writing would be the best career for me. For me, every piece of writing is an art. My job as a writer requires writing creative content which should not only be factual but also engaging enough to hold the target reader’s attention. In the initial years of my freelance writing career, I have had the opportunity to write content for a website called foodorb.com which was based on the food and health genre. While such topics can be scientific and often boring, incorporating a light narrative tone with funny sentences, bizarre facts, etc., in the content is my specialty. Especially, the conversational style of writing that readers find very attractive! I am also adept at maintaining customer relationships. During my vintage with my former employer, Genpact India, I have been commended and awarded by the senior management as well as by my clients for exceptional great customer engagement and for maintaining good customer relationship. As a writer, my job requires extensive research on given topics, and I believe I am proficient in that too, because of my corporate stint as a Market Research Analyst for 6 years. A well-researched article or content, free of plagiarism has always been my utmost priority for my clients. I have also been commended by my employers in the past because every article that I write has appropriate information from reliable sources. Hence, I am sure I am a good fit for any job and can add value to any organization. New challenges excite me!
